Expiring time, end time, deadline…all of these simply mean that the items at hand have gone bad or are no longer needed. The same applies to us as humans; there reaches a point in our lives where we get fed up with other people and decide to give them two options, to change or leave and never come back. These options always have a duration, and when the “deadline ” is up, we have no choice but to go with what has been selected, the change or the exit.
The same is reflected in the bible where at the end, Christ will come back to select the favorites and ascend with them to heaven where they will be at the right hand of God the Father. In other words, God also has a deadline for us. His will to humanity is timed. HE is our creator, knows each one of us like the back of HIS hand, and has deadlines too.
In the Bible, Daniel says, “Behold, I am going to let you know that what will occur at the final period of the indignation, for it pertains to the appointed time of the end” Daniel 8:19. These are the Almighty’s own words to humankind that there will indeed be an end of the world. Over the years, many tragedies have happened, and they all indicate the near of this deadline. God’s patience is running out because of sin in the world. The time nor place is unknown, but it is written in the Bible. In the past, God’s fury was seen in so many different ways, for example, the plague in Moses’s time, fire during Sodom and Gomorrah’s time, the flood in Noah’s time. These are just but a few.
In other words, when God’s deadline reaches, there is always no turning back. He is patient, understanding, and merciful, but it is up to humanity to straighten up their act and does right according to his will. Otherwise, man will suffer God’s wrath, just as a stubborn child is disciplined by his father is the same way God will do so. He loves each one of us because he created us in his own image and likeness, but GOD HAS DEADLINES TOO.
